Celebrate Diversity Month - Internal DEI story
April is Celebrate Diversity Month This month we recognize Celebrate Diversity Month in the US (and Global Diversity Month in October), which was established to highlight the diversity in the world around us. Celebrating diversity aligns with our company culture and values including “celebrating uniqueness,” which comes to life every day in our stores, our support centers, and in our Wholesale Reuse and CPC facilities. With the shared goal to create an environment where everyone feels welcome to be themselves, team members celebrate diversity in big and small ways:

Indoorsy- DIY Website content
Sometimes we just don’t feel like going outside. Whether that’s because of the weather, social distancing, or pesky allergies, here are some creative things to do when spending the day being "indoorsy"
A fabric castle fit for a king, queen, or twin: Build a fort kit for the youngsters or young-at-heart in your life. See if you can find some thrifted sheets, blankets, and a pillowcase to keep them in. (You can also insert a draw string into the folded “hem” of the pillowcase if you’re crafty.) Next, gather clothes pins, clamps, and even hair ties or sturdy plastic chip clips to connect your fabric fort “walls” and secure them to chairs, couches, bedposts, etc. Grab a camping lantern or flashlight to give the inside of the fort instant ambience and encourage everyone to bring their own pillows and favorite board game or book. This “insta-fort/castle kit” is a fun indoor experience and a thoughtful gift, too. Drop a bag off for a friend hosting a sleepover for entertaining made easy...

Hostess gifts ensure you're invited back - Website DIY story
This season if you are lucky enough to be invited to a friend or family member’s house, show appreciation with a hostess gift. With just a bit of creativity and some thoughtful thrifting, you can honor hosts with a gesture that is sustainable, affordable and ensures you do not get relegated to the kid’s table.
Breakfast for dinner – Your host treats you to dinner, why not treat them to breakfast? Thrift an adorable basket or pretty vintage bowl and add muffins, scones, any breakfast baked goods, wrapped in a pretty cloth napkin or tea towel. Some other next-day surprises to assemble in a basket could include a bag of good coffee, fancy fruit jam, anything to makes the morning meal after hosting special and simple.

Sustainable Wrapping - DIY website content
When reaching for the paper, tape, and scissors this season, think green. With the all the traditional processing the average roll of wrapping paper goes through, it takes a big toll on the environment. Large amounts of water and energy are used to make paper, and often synthetic dyes and bleach are used. Think earth-friendly this holiday season and dress your gifts to impress friends and family with your creativity.
That calendar is SO last year! With the new year just around the corner, calendars with pictures or patterns make great wrapping paper for books and smaller gifts, and the pages are even bigger on work desk calendar. You can either decorate the blank side of the pages or incorporate the numbers into the wrap design, by writing “do not open until Dec. 25th” Afterall, every month has a 25th, even short little February.

Rainbow Brunch - DIY and DEI website story
Celebrate mom, LBTQIA+ family, or Spring with a colorful break-FEAST.
Spring is blooming with reasons to gather and celebrate! One festive way to greet the return of sun and bright skies is to throw a rainbow-themed brunch. The multiple color options in rainbow-themed décor makes it perfect for thrifting. You can assemble bright, inexpensive dishes, glasses, and décor, mixing and matching has never been easier.
One festive trick you can kick off at your rainbow brunch and use all year round? Buy different colored wine glasses and champagne flutes to make it simple for your guests to identify which one is theirs. Sipping from “the tall red glass” is much easier than remembering which of those tiny wine charms was yours.
